Con l’aumento dei rifiuti organici urbani in Marocco, le discariche incontrollate hanno un grave impatto sulla salute e sull’ambiente. Il sito di Oum Azza (Rabat-Salé), pur essendo una discarica pubblica, rimane una fonte di gravi problemi, in particolare l’inquinamento delle acque sotterranee da parte dei percolati e il deterioramento delle infrastrutture locali.Questo studio valuta l’idoneità del sito utilizzando un’analisi multicriteriale che incorpora parametri ambientali, socio-economici e tecnici. Si basa sul metodo AHP, combinato con strumenti GIS e l’approccio TOPSIS, per garantire un’analisi spaziale rigorosa.L’obiettivo è quello di determinare la fattibilità del mantenimento del sito attuale o, se necessario, di identificare aree alternative adatte alla creazione di una discarica controllata, a sostegno di un processo decisionale sostenibile e partecipativo.
