Napięcie na wale stało się poważnym problemem w dużych elektrowniach. Niniejsza publikacja określa potencjalne źródła napięcia na wale oraz jego wpływ na łożyska. Napięcia na wale i prądy łożyskowe wynikają ze składowej napięcia w trybie wspólnym napięcia wyjściowego ze statycznego układu wzbudzenia. Głównym celem niniejszej publikacji jest opracowanie modelu wzbudzenia generatora turbogazowego od wału do łożyska oraz przeprowadzenie symulacji tego modelu w celu zbadania występowania napięcia na wale i prądu łożyskowego w elektrowni. Zaproponowano rozwiązanie problemu napięcia na wale poprzez zastosowanie szczotek uziemiających, a symulację opracowanego modelu przeprowadzono w programie Matlab. Wartości napięć na wale i prądów w łożyskach po stronie wzbudnika oraz po stronie turbiny zbadano w oparciu o dane uzyskane z instrukcji obsługi elektrowni Sultan. Przeanalizowano wyniki dotyczące napięć na wale i prądów w łożyskach zarówno w przypadku podłączenia szczotek uziemiających do wału po stronie wzbudnika i turbiny, jak i bez nich. W niniejszej pracy wykorzystano również solwer optymalizacyjny w celu określenia optymalnych wartości kondensatora i rezystora do modelowania szczotek uziemiających stosowanych w celu wyeliminowania napięcia na wale po stronie wzbudnika i turbiny generatora.
