A obra Os transportes motorizados em Florianópolis: percepções e sensibilidades cotidianas (1920-1941) é fruto de sua tese de doutorado em História, defendida na Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) em 2010. Este estudo analisa a evolução do transporte motorizado – automóveis; ônibus – na cidade de Florianópolis durante as décadas de 20 e 30 do século passado, inclusive numa conjuntura anterior à construção e inauguração da Ponte Hercílio Luz (1922–1926 / 1926), primeira ligação rodoviária entre as partes insular e continental da capital catarinense. O livro conta com robusta pesquisa de fontes documentais e histórias e, a partir da análise de 18 (dezoito) processos criminais que envolvem colisões e atropelamentos no meio urbano de Florianópolis, apresenta cenários diversos relativos aos embates e disputas de espaço e poder entre veículos motorizados, chauffeurs e transeuntes. Obra de interesse nas áreas de História e Sociologia, apresenta-se como importante ferramenta para compreensão da evolução dos veículos motorizados no meio urbano, temática que atualmente suscita profícuas discussões e envolve a operacionalização e a projeção de novas tecnologias automotivas no presente e no futuro próximo. 10
