Ce document de recherche se concentre sur l’optimisation des intervalles de maintenance afin de développer la rentabilité pour les compagnies aériennes. L’accent sera mis sur la manière dont Republic Airlines peut augmenter la fiabilité du pare-brise principal de sa flotte d’Embraer 170. L’hypothèse est qu’afin de réduire le nombre d’enlèvements, il est conseillé à la compagnie aérienne de réduire les intervalles d’inspection du joint d’étanchéité du pare-brise principal. Une analyse de la distribution de Weibull conditionnelle entre les deux ensembles de données sera utilisée pour étayer la théorie entre (a) 1 000 heures (intervalle de contrôle) et (b) 500 heures (intervalle de contrôle réduit). Le résultat souhaité sera une valeur p inférieure à 0,05 à partir du test ANOVA pour suggérer une augmentation significative de la fiabilité. L’abaissement de l’intervalle d’inspection de maintenance de 1 000 heures de vol à 500 heures permettra de réduire le nombre de déposes du pare-brise principal et d’améliorer la fiabilité de 10 %.
