Das Projekt verbessert den Feststoffbooster GSLV Mk-III durch einen Verbundtreibstoff mit hoher Dichte (65 % bimodales AP, 18 % sphärisches Al, 12 % HTPB-Bindemittel einschließlich 1,5 % Additive), der mit 1 % Kupferchromit, 1 % Lecithin, 1 % TEPANOL und 2 % Eisenoxid angereichert ist und 1.795 kg/m³ erreicht. Ein 8-lappiges Finocyl-Korn mit sich verjüngenden Rippen bietet eine große Anfangsfläche für eine schnelle Druckbeaufschlagung und einen progressiven→ neutralen Abbrand über ~110-120 s; das Korn ist kohlefaserverstärkt und hält bis zu 12 MPa stand. Eine flexible Düse mit einer Verengung von 0,61 m, einer Ausdehnung von 15:1 (Austritts-Ø 2,36 m) und einer mit ZrC beschichteten Kohlenstoff-Kohlenstoff-Verengung ist für Meereshöhe/Vakuum optimiert. Voraussichtliche Leistung: 5.800 kN Schub, Abgasgeschwindigkeit ≈2.714 m/s, Isp ≈277 s, Massenstrom ≈2.138 kg/s.
