In der Wahrnehmung ihrer Mitglieder sollten es einzigartige und ausgewogene Mitgliedschaftspakete sein, welche sowohl auf der Beitrags- als auch auf der Dienstleistungsseite den zunehmend heterogenen Kundenbedürfnissen Rechnung tragen. Vor diesem Hintergrund ermittelt Philippe Giroud anhand eines Conjoint-Experiments die Präferenzen von Verbandsmitgliedern. Er untersucht, wie sich Mitgliedschaftspakete aus der Sicht der Mitglieder nutzenmaximal zusammensetzen lassen, wie akzeptiert eine solche Beitragsdifferenzierung zweiten Grades bei den Verbandskunden ist und welche Effekte von der nutzenbezogenen Beitragsbemessung auf die Identifikation und das intendierte Verhalten der Mitglieder ausgehen. ​
