W tym celu wykorzystano prostą ankietę, aby zbadać potrzeby informacyjne pacjentów onkologicznych w zakresie leczenia bólu. Badanie wykazało, że pacjenci cenią sobie informacje i że potrzeby te nie są zaspokajane. Włączenie pacjentów w proces tworzenia ulotki jest korzystne, ponieważ gwarantuje, że informacje będą przystępne i użyteczne. Badanie wykazało, że można to zrobić w prosty i niedrogi sposób.
