For some time now the Holy Spirit has been tugging and pulling, yes gently pushing you to move to the next place in God. The comfort of your current place has lulled you into being satisfied with not progressing. The next place means change... commitment... more responsibility... the stakes are higher and the work is harder. You really are slow to embrace everything that that entails. You want to stay hidden behind the scenes. The enemy is showing you all the dangers of coming out, but God is calling you and you know you must answer. Operating in the light is a transition that occurs when you make the choice to change your posture (Arise), apply your God-given abilities (Shine), and embrace the opportunities that are presented to you (Thy Light Is Come). God’s glory can then be fully manifested through you and all will see the power of the Hand of God at work in a yielded vessel. However, this transition is not an arbitrary one. God ordains a specific and unique process for each one of us to prepare us for this awesome time of manifested glory. This work gives us an overview of several men and women of God whose lives reveal to us the purpose and the power of the process prior to operating in the light. A close inspection of this Divine transition examines three Old Testament women who graphically show us the three components leading into operating in the light. While each of them has a separate and unique story, collectively they map out for us the process required to truly walk in God’s will for our lives. Esther was a Jew whose beauty positioned her to be part of an elite group of women who went through a lengthy process of preparation for a special audience with the king. At the end of that lengthy process, God selected her to be the next chosen queen. Her identity as a Jew was totally hidden during this time.
