Spencer Ewing and Mallory King had been the perfect couple since high school. They were dedicated twosome through college and returned home to their roots to begin a life together. Mallory was the only daughter of the renowned Kings of equestrian fame. The King Equestrian Center was the home of the famous equestrian trainer, Genevive King who had developed legendary equines for decades. Mallory, born into the world of million-dollar horses and worldwide famous trainers, followed in her mother’s footsteps. Spencer became second in command of the King’s lucrative operations, managing the ranch, the barn and the land holdings, reporting only to Mallory’s father, Cavanaugh King. The life plan was to marry and live the fairy tale life that Mallory had designed for the two of them. She would become a famous trainer like her Mom and Spencer would manage the King ranch to bigger and better success. But life throws curves. A long-time family rivalry between two brothers and an impending death put Spencer;s and Mallory’s life plans to the test. Spencer finds himself removed from his life in Texas and immersed in the world of Egypt. The brother’s feud resulted in a contest to own and breed the ultimate Arabian bloodline. Spencer is sent to Egypt to covertly acquire the specimen from the prized Zabr Arabian stable. Spencer knew the task at hand would be difficult, but he never anticipated the trials would come to his soul as he dealt with the darkest part of himself. His values, his morals, his integrity all on the line with an Egyptian princess pulling the strings. The word Egypt conjures images in the mind of ancient pyramids, the mysterious Sphinx, the beauty and allure of the Nile River, and the never-ending sands that go nowhere and everywhere. But along with the ancient sites and history that Egypt boasts, it is the love stories that have come from Egypt since the earliest of times that have captured and held the imagination of mankind. The stories of devotion, lust and desire have been passed down through the centuries for man to ponder and interpret and retell to future generations. Egypt is a land of dreams and magic and mystery, but most of all, Egypt is the land of love, passion and sadly, loss.
