She observes that a window has been damaged and a screen torn in the greenhouse. She finds she has two visitors: Chloe and Allegra, both fairies. Chloe’s wing was injured in the storm and she needs a place to mend. The fairies decide to stay with Carol in her greenhouse filled with flowering plants.
