A man who was in the process of bribing the railroad to come through his town and a man his own shadowy past.Lank simultaneously made a different kind oft trouble for himself after meeting Cassnar’s widowed sister, Skiilyn with whom he was instantly smitten. With that a race was underway against Pinkerton agents to get the gold first. Cassnar’s promises to help were becoming increasingly elusive and the baker had become and impediment to Lank seeing Skiilyn. Along the way Lank finds out his partner Cassnar was himself a former bank robber and intended to become the first governor of the territory so he could get back into the outlaw business.
