You will be in jail in Soviet Russia surrounded by learned men trying to survive on thin soup and a piece of bread.You will be escaping from the German GESTAPO only to be caught by Russian NKVD, now KGB. You will be the last on 'amnesty' list, and the last ship to freedom. Accurate historical war events interspersed with dramatic and sometimes humorous personal stories. It is a rich autobiographical experience that parallels the diary of a mysterious Polish woman. Interwoven throughout the narrative is a saga of profound and memorable love. The author’s tenacity to survive prisons, starvation and diseases to achieve his ultimate goal makes exciting reading as we follow his adventures.
