Ever since my world came crashing down around me when I was 16 years old, as I confronted the sexual abuse of my childhood and everything that stemmed from it, I have had a guiding motto in my life that has been instrumental in helping me move forward...'one day at a time.' Yet regardless of the measurement, the principle holds true...as the sun sets on today, a new day dawns tomorrow-a blank page to begin writing something new.For me, as I journeyed from victim to victor and learned one day at a time how to survive, my daily blank pages began to fill up with personal thoughts, reflections, and insights as I wrote down my experiences of finding hope in my heartache, faith in my pain, and understanding in my despair. These daily thoughts serve as the basis for this book.
