Oliver knows he is different. His spinal condition gives him a distinctly shaped shell, with its bold curves and tangerine hue, that sets him apart from the other turtles. Set in a world where turtles’ shells have specific roles and shapes, Oliver is on a quest to figure out how he fits into his community. Despite facing ridicule and exclusion, he remains hopeful that he has a special purpose. When a flood threatens the town, Oliver seizes an opportunity to prove his worth and ultimately teaches the townspeople a valuable lesson about embracing diversity and the contributions that our neighbors with disabilities bring to our communities.
