Jet, Gas, Bob, Erg, Tar and Pie are men who have had varied and successful careers, but have not been able to bring that same flush of success into their marriages. They meet by chance at an ocean-side caravan park. They have nothing in common other than they all took to the road when they were kicked out of the house or left to pursue a carefree existence in their retirement years. • Learn a sea shanty (dodgy words included) • Learn to play mixed foreskins (a special type of golf) • Learn the gastrologos scale (and become a foodie judge) • Learn about beer (relax and have one) • Discover Old Bagpipes, (guaranteed 12-year-old Scotch) • Enjoy wine (discoveries are more important than rules) • Discover gurney podge (it's edible) • Learn to catch fish • Discover how to win a heart (or maybe not) • Learn to relax • Discover lady suicide bombers • Learn how to laugh • Discover whales (and how to avoid them when boating) • Enjoy good old-fashioned philosophy • Discover humor • Discover romance • Discover drama (real life, not the acting stuff) (About the Author) Semi-retired engineer Neil Angus grew up in Wellington, New Zealand. He now lives at Te Horo Beach on the Kapiti Coast, an hour's drive north of Wellington. 'I first started writing poetry and short stories as a young marine engineer serving in the merchant navy. No computers back then and the hand-written material has been long lost. I have had a lot of experiences and met many people from all walks of life during my sea travels and business activities. The urge to write has enabled me to cobble some of these adventures into storytelling.' This is his first novel. He is now writing the sequel. Publisher's website: http://sbprabooks.com/NeilAngus

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
