Obszerne badanie fotometryczne gromady w celu określenia zaczerwienienia gromady, odległości, wieku i metaliczności zostało przeprowadzone wśród gwiazd o jasności ≤ 18 (jasne gwiazdy). Gwiazdy o magnitudo > 18 (słabe gwiazdy) zostały pominięte, tworząc lukę w członkostwie NGC 6811 (Curtis et al. 2019). W ten sposób rozwiązano problem polegający na tym, że liczba znanych słabych gwiazd podwójnych z komponentem δ scuti w gromadzie otwartej NGC 6811 jest wciąż niewielka. Niniejsze badanie przyczyniło się do zwiększenia liczby znanych słabych gwiazd δ scuti w tej gromadzie przy użyciu drugiego wydania danych Keplera i Gaia (DR2).
