Esta obra trata de uma análise sobre o texto filosófico abordado no Currículo do Estado de São Paulo para o ensino de filosofia. Analisa-se o seu papel, as recomendações para o seu emprego nas aulas e o modo como é incorporado ao material didático Material de Apoio ao Currículo do Estado de São Paulo (2014). É examinado se a maneira como o texto é proposto nos planos de aula oferece condições para que o professor o utilize de forma adequada e coerente, de modo que o educando possa lê-lo, interpretá-lo e problematizá-lo. Para discutir e aprofundar ainda mais a questão, foi analisado o papel do texto filosófico ao longo da história do ensino de filosofia no Brasil, a fim de compreender seus objetivos e sua aplicação. Além disso, perceber, quando não utilizado, quais os outros recursos empregados. Outro aspecto trabalhado concentrou-se na parte legal, por isso foi examinado o ensino de filosofia e o texto filosófico na perspectiva dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais do Ensino Médio (PCNEM), das Orientações Educacionais Complementares aos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN+) e das Orientações Curriculares para o Ensino Médio (OCEM). 10
