Na sequência do Tratado de Tordesilhas, em 1494, vários países europeus apressaram-se a estabelecer feitorias e a dedicar-se ao tráfico de escravos negros. Após a Conferência de Berlim de 1885, os países europeus dividiram África entre si, estabelecendo colonizações diretas. Os africanos viveram um passado doloroso. Após a independência, os países africanos quiseram emancipar-se e desenvolver-se. Infelizmente, os problemas internos e as conspirações externas fazem com que os africanos vivam um presente infeliz. No futuro, podemos prever um futuro feliz ou duvidoso para os africanos? Citámos numerosos problemas e uma dezena de indicadores que mostram que a África é o continente mais atrasado do mundo e que mais de ¾ dos países africanos estão nos últimos lugares de todos os indicadores estabelecidos pelas diferentes organizações.
