A argumentação da Ação como atividade inerente à política foi defendida pela pensadora Hannah Arendt em seu livro A Condição Humana (1958). Em conformidade a esse estudo, se investigou a crítica da autora ao conceito de Trabalho e a sua análise do conceito de Obra. A investigação percorreu os conceitos de vita activa, vita contemplativa e contemplação, a Ação e suas características, o Trabalho e a Obra, sempre com o propósito de mostrar as percepções principais referentes à Ação como critério para atividade política entre os homens. Como problema filosófico central reflete-se sobre a ação enquanto atividade política por excelência, ou seja: 'pensar o que estamos fazendo?'. Assim, o desafio aqui é extrair dessa problemática que permeia o âmbito das três categorias da vita activa (Trabalho, Obra e Ação), uma contribuição para também pensarmos o que nós, enquanto seres políticos fazemos da nossa sociedade. O presente estudo da Ação trata daquilo que há de mais característico em toda a obra política de Hannah Arendt: a Ação como motora da vida política.
