Materials science stands at a pivotal juncture. As engineering demands grow more extreme-spanning aerospace, energy, and biomedical frontiers traditional single-phase alloys and conventional composites are increasingly reaching their limits. Two paradigms have emerged to meet this challenge: composite materials, which harness synergy between distinct phases, and high-entropy alloys, which exploit compositional complexity to unlock unprecedented combinations of strength, ductility, and stability. This book was conceived to bridge these two domains, which have too often developed along parallel but separate tracks. By examining their shared principles structure property relationships, processing-microstructure links, and computational design we aim to reveal where composites and HEAs intersect and reinforce one another, particularly in emerging HEA-based composite systems.Organized into five parts, the book progresses systematically from fundamentals through fabrication, characterization, computational modeling, and application, concluding with a look at future directions in intelligent and sustainable materials.
