No ensino destas competências, a importância da utilização de tarefas prévias à atividade não pode ser negada. Por conseguinte, este estudo procura investigar os efeitos de três novas tarefas pré-atividade na compreensão da leitura e na capacidade de escrita. Analisar os efeitos dos recursos visuais, da discussão em grupo e da pergunta prévia na compreensão da leitura e na capacidade de escrita é o principal objetivo deste estudo.
