Nesta compilação de artigos que escrevi nos últimos anos sobre uma nova-velha pedagogia para o teatro iídiche, tento inventar um método específico para estudantes de teatro que queiram juntar-se ao teatro iídiche que está a crescer ultimamente em todo o mundo. Esta pedagogia baseia-se na identificação corporal relacionada com a musicalidade específica da língua iídiche. Como todas as línguas, o Iídiche também tem a sua musicalidade específica, afetada por várias influências musicais no mundo Ashkenazic: música klezmer, oração, entoações codificadas da Torah, o 'pilpul' (discussão) do Talmud, etc. Este novo método pretende conservar e desenvolver o teatro iídiche e as suas formas de expressão. Espero que este possa ser o meu contributo pessoal para a preservação e inovação da cultura iídiche.
