Одной из особенностей штата Амапа является его наземная изоляция от остальной части Бразилии, а интеграция с Гвианским нагорьем осуществляется только через мост Бинасиональ. Мост был построен через реку Ойапоке, естественную границу между Амапой и Французской Гвианой, и открыт в конце 2015 г. Его строительство - одно из последствий подписания Рамочного соглашения 1996 г., ратифицированного Бразилией в 1997 г. Даже после его ратификации пограничный регион между Амапой и Французской Гвианой продолжает страдать от конфликтов различного рода и масштаба, при этом привычный образ жизни людей не меняется. Данная работа состоит из трех глав: первая посвящена контексту процесса определения международной границы Амапа, вторая - концептуализации важности международных договоров и их влияния на отношения между государствами и обществом, третья - объяснению и оценке Рамочного соглашения, подписанного между Бразилией и Францией в 1996 году и ратифицированного Бразилией в 1997 году. Это работа, актуальность которой и ее использование не должны ограничиваться только учеными, изучающими международные отношения и правовую сферу, но и широкой общественностью.
