Set in the suburbs of Nairobi, Njambi and Kagwe’s world is the story of a marriage in the fray. Njambi Kagwe is a smart and sensible senior executive at a digital marketing agency. Her husband, Henry Kagwe, is a charming commercial airline pilot for a local carrier who is addicted to the adrenaline and hijinks of an airman’s lifestyle. He has taken to coming home late and being evasive about his whereabouts, something that causes Njambi long stretches of anxiety-induced insomnia. At first, she blames Kagwe’s single best friend and workmate for being a bad influence, but all that changes when he comes home late one night with another woman’s scent on his clothes. Njambi now suspects that he has been spending time with another woman. She must now use her wits to find out if her husband is having an affair, all while keeping her sleazy boss and meddling in-laws at bay.Meanwhile, Kagwe’s world is a fast-paced life in the skies, a delicate balance between staying grounded with his wild friends and keeping his patient wife happy. Together their worlds intertwine, as goes in marriage, but when secrets come between them, their once harmonious rhythm is thrown off. Now their worlds oscillate between cold distance and spectacular collisions in this suspenseful page-turner you won’t be able to put down.
