Synopsis: Jeff enters the world with little security, guidance, or love. Raised in fear and neglect by a troubled mother, he learns to hide and expect pain. His future seems hopeless until he is removed from her care.Welcomed into the home of Joyce and Bud, Jeff discovers faith, friendship, discipline, and the true meaning of family. For the first time, he is free to laugh, play baseball, dream, and believe his life matters. When tragedy destroys his newfound stability and his biological mother returns to reclaim him, Jeff becomes the center of an emotional battle involving grief, money, and parental rights. Joyce must fight to protect him as Jeff faces the possibility of losing everything again.Never Had a Chance is a moving story of abandonment, resilience, and second chances. It explores what makes a true parent and how love and faith can transform a forgotten child into a source of hope for others. Autobiography:Born in January 1939 came into this world as a farm boy. He became very sick, and they moved to Arizona for ten years, then moved back to Michigan, and Virginia for five years, then back to Michigan. He has lots of short and long stories along with thirty books. Some day, he will attempt to publish more of them.        “Some shows have warnings for strobe lights. Some have them for loud gunshots.  Some for smoke.   MISSISSIPPI GODDAMN, a new play by Jonathan Norton should have one for intensity.   Granted, anyone attending a play about civil rights pioneer Medgar Evers set in 1963 Jackson, Mississippi, should expect some strife. Blood in the battle for racial equality is no surprise, but f...

  • The Lady From Maxim’s
    Georges Feydeau / Laurence Senelick
“It seems to me that for fertility in droll inventions, the perpetual outpouring of unforeseen misunderstandings, for the inexhaustible gaiety of dialogue, Feydeau’s new play is superior to everything he’s written so far. The most astonishing thing is the sureness with which everything is controlled, explained, justified, in the most extravagant buffoonery. The cross-purpose...

A queen, I mean, and not just of the self-dramatizing type. Scratch that. She’s more than a queen. She’s a pharaoh, one Hatshepsut, who reigned over Egypt ...
