All Fenna wanted was an orderly semester. What she got was six-foot-two of golden retriever hockey goalie explaining probability theory with pizza drawings in her Intro to Statistics class. The same man who’d been staring at her at team parties all summer. The one her mother had already calculated was a 'statistically significant match.'Worse? He’s enrolled in her class. On purpose.Even worse? He has a countdown in his calendar for the day he can finally ask her out-complete with emojis.Fenna Dae is a professor with four rotating blazers, color-coded calendars, and a rigid routine that keeps her world perfectly predictable. She doesn’t do spontaneous. She doesn’t do messy. And she definitely doesn’t do hockey players who think chi-square tests can be explained with pepperoni slices.Rhys Calder is the goalie for the Hartford Hawks and he’s been gone for the brilliant professor since she corrected his math at last season’s victory party. Now he’s learning Star Trek quotes, memorizing her coffee order by day of the week, and making PowerPoint presentations titled 'Statistical Analysis of Fenna Dae.'She has rules. He has a countdown widget. Neither of them planned on tutoring sessions in tiny study pods, Halloween almost-kisses, or texting about angles and his hips at 2 AM.He tells himself he can wait until December 20th.He’s not sure he can wait until December 20th.Somewhere between the pizza math and probability calculations, Fenna’s careful routines start falling apart. Because Rhys doesn’t just see the structured professor everyone else does-he sees the woman underneath, and he thinks she’s the most fascinating data set he’s ever studied. She’s terrified he might be right. This could ruin her career-or become the best statistical anomaly of her life.
