Nestorian Biography: Being Sketches Of Pious Nestorians Who Have Died At Oroomiah, Persia (1857) is a book written by Justin Perkins. The book is a collection of biographical sketches of Nestorian Christians who lived in Oroomiah, Persia (now Iran) and who had died prior to the publication of the book. The Nestorians were a Christian sect that originated in the Middle East in the 5th century and were known for their emphasis on the independence of the individual churches and their rejection of the concept of the Trinity. The book provides a glimpse into the lives of these pious Nestorians and their devotion to their faith, as well as their struggles and challenges in a predominantly Muslim society. The author, Justin Perkins, was an American missionary who lived and worked in Oroomiah for many years, and his deep understanding of the Nestorian community is reflected in the book. Overall, Nestorian Biography is a valuable historical document that sheds light on a little-known Christian community in the Middle East in the 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world’s literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
