A fifth-generation resident of the community, she is widely recognized for her advocacy in preserving Lakeland’s history and pursuing restorative justice for the harm caused by 1970s urban renewal.She is the founder of Legacy Circle LLC and the author of two children’s books, Rushing, Rising and Painted Rust and Neda’s Song.
