The stories take place in the new renaissance city of Flint, Michigan. Janet discovers the identities of her captors, Millie becomes involved with the dark web, Dr. Jefferies becomes a victim because of his success, Councilor Dave obtains a sinister new client, and Liam discovers new truths thru his biological family. As before, the stories are packed full of new and imagined technologies.
