Nanobiomaterials have emerged as a transformative innovation in dentistry, offering superior mechanical, biological, and physicochemical properties compared to conventional biomaterial. Nanostructured biomaterials significantly improve adhesion, mechanical strength, and resistance to biofilm formation, thereby enhancing the longevity and success of dental treatments. Moreover, the incorporation of bioactive nanoparticles such as hydroxyapatite, silver, and graphene-based materials has shown promising results in promoting remineralization and antimicrobial activity. Despite their advantages, they possess challenges related to cytotoxicity, long-term stability, and regulatory constraints that must be addressed for widespread clinical adoption. Future research should focus on optimizing nanostructures for enhanced therapeutic outcomes while ensuring safety and efficacy. This review contributes to the evolving field of nanobiomaterials in dentistry by providing insights into their potential to revolutionize oral healthcare.
