Nagara Paadagan is a new collections of short stories by Kumaaranandhan. He is one of the most prominent new voices in Tamil short stories. His stories are profound and without noise. His technique portrays the reality and weaves through a commentary on the same with it. Sometimes he uses dreams for this commentary, and dreams become reality, which leads to weird situations that form his stories. His charachters are neither good nor bad, but seems to be stuck in a limbo between these two. They are like most of us. In a way, through his short stories, shows us some new faces of us to ourselves.
