本書內容以詩詞體裁，紀錄作者昔年在香港逃難、居住、求學的各項點滴。正是：往事俱如雲，今已耋老人，懷舊時落筆，香港仍留痕。謹以此書獻給香港知行中學昔日師長、同窗、及校友們。 成功大學校友吳治博士，民國46年及50年本校機械系學士及碩士畢業，民國55年獲得美國伊里諾大學博 士，即進入美國海軍官校機械系任教服務四十二年，並在約翰霍浦金斯大學兼教服務四十年，2006年 退休。吳治在教學及專業領域上研究表現傑出，受到校方及校外學術界肯定及重視。  吳校友歷年來獲獎無數，在教學研究方面，年年獲得校方的頒獎，1993年榮獲美國海軍官校最 佳研究獎，1994年榮獲約翰霍浦金斯大學工學院最佳教學獎，1996年榮獲約翰霍浦金斯大學工學院最 佳著作獎等；在行政方面，吳校友曾任美國海軍官校機械系系主任四年，1991年榮獲海軍軍部給予文 職人員最高功績獎，並於2006年榮獲海軍軍部給予特别褒揚獎，譽為美國海軍官校有史以來研究著作 最為豐富傑出文職人員；1999年榮獲北美州成功大學傑出校友獎。 吳校友學術研究與著作極為豐富，為兩種學術期刊總編輯，擔任三種學術期刊編輯委員，除此 之外，吳校友已出版九本專書，五百多篇學術期刊文章，三百餘篇學術會議論文，及兩百餘篇專書暨 論文評審。其中1994年英國牛津大學為他出版了海洋溫差專書，此書在科技最負盛名的科學（science）期 刊書評上極博好評，譽為海洋溫差領域之空前佳著。吳校友在1990年代亦曾任行政院科技顧問組顧問 多年。  3
