My Soldier My Dad, 'The Life Of A War Torn Soldier', is the story of a young man who confronts his fears of thundering and lightening when he is forced to face the dangers of the Vietnam War. The post traumatic stress of being a service connected veteran makes it hard for him to deal with emotions of love and loss, while also trying to be a husband and father. Battling the physical and emotional scars of war, Joseph Williams turns to alcohol which leads to abusive and destructive behavior. Trying to justify his actions, he becomes enthralled in a 25 year battle with the Veterans Administration in an effort to be classified as a 100% service connected Vietnam Veteran as a result of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. As his life comes to a close, Joseph makes peace with GOD as to why he has gone through this painful journey to find his way back. Trying to make amends to those he has hurt before he dies, Joseph’s story is one that many soldiers that fight for their country face today. Adjusting to life beyond being a soldier and dealing with the scars of war has lasting and lingering effects. Their patriotism and duty of service not only affects the soldier, but also the Remnants that they leave behind.Author Bio:Author Biography: Paul E.
