My India is the extraordinary life story of Dr. Arta Tran Dash, born in a small village near Puri, Odisha, in 1929. From the hardships of child marriage, poverty, and tragic loss, to the relentless pursuit of education against impossible odds, his journey embodies resilience, courage, and the indomitable human spirit.Through vivid recollections of family struggles, cultural traditions, and the turbulent backdrop of India’s colonial past and independence movement, Dr. Dash paints a portrait of survival and perseverance. His memoir moves from the haunting memories of childhood trauma to the triumph of becoming a professor of mathematics, proving that determination can overcome even the harshest circumstances.More than a personal narrative, My India is a testament to the strength of heritage, the power of education, and the enduring hope that defines a nation and its people. Readers will be inspired by a life lived through adversity, and uplifted by the reminder that even in the darkest times, the pursuit of knowledge and truth can light the way forward.
