My Hearts Desire records one woman’s years of struggle in a loveless marriage and how her marriage became the delight she had always wanted. Ms.Altman provides the reader with a personal account of her journey from desperation to fulfillment. Having experienced one failed marriage, Sarah knew that divorce wasn’t the answer. As a therapist, she was adept at helping others with their own problem-filled relationships but couldn’t seem to make her own life work. After 16 years of trying to get her husband to be the mate she wanted, she gave up and decided that a love filled marriage just wasn’t in the plan for her. Surrender to the situation was the last thing Sarah would have believed would work. However, against her usual take charge behavior, Sarah took a leap of faith and asked God to help her.That request changed the person and the marriage.
