My Ántonia is a 1918 novel by American writer Willa Cather. The last book of her Great Plains trilogy, it is considered to be among her best works and proceeds O Pioneers! and The Song of the Lark. The novel continues the tale of the two children brought to the pioneers in Nebraska towards the end of the 19th century: Jim Burden, an orphan from Virginia, and Ántonia Shimerda.Cather’s My Ántonia is her masterpiece and constitutes a must-read for fans of her fantastic frontier fiction.Willa Sibert Cather (1873-1947) was an American writer famous for her novels related to frontier life on the Great Plains.
