A crise dos refugiados fez-nos perceber que estas áreas problemáticas também desempenham agora um papel na nossa sociedade. Uma decisão judicial sobre a questão dos 'casamentos de crianças' desencadeou um debate aceso na Alemanha e levou a uma reflexão jurídica. Para proteger as jovens mulheres destas violações dos direitos humanos no futuro, a Alemanha e a Áustria têm de encontrar uma abordagem adequada em termos de direito penal, direito civil e direito de asilo. Este livro mostra a evolução jurídica de ambos os países no que respeita à 'mutilação genital' e ao 'casamento forçado de menores' e analisa de perto as diferenças.
