I was actually surprised, after my recent battle with cancer, that I had anything at all left to write about.Once you’ve been through cancer - and are still going through chemotherapy - one would think you might just be tapped out for now. But, not me.Not this tough old bird, not a true survivor.I’ve got plenty left to say.Except this time, I will be looking backward in time instead of forward. I already have a pretty good idea where my future may lead me, so let’s look back on how I got here, shall we?It should be an interesting trip to say the least, because I’ve lived a very interesting life. The good times, the bad, and the in between. But, do me favor, okay? When we finally reach the end of my journey, don’t stand in judgement of me uness you’ve walked a mile in my shoes. In all honesty? I don’t think that a lot of you would have survived my life, and still come out a better person for it - and believe me, it wasn not an easy road to success. There is a song by Billy Joel entitled, 'Only The Good Die Young.' I tend to disagree with that, because this old man is still here. For better or worse, I’m not sure yet, but I’m sure of one thing; by the time we reach the end, I’m quite sure that you will have lived a lifetime right along with me, and will be amazed by it all.So...let us begin the journey, shall we? • Welcome To The End
    David Boyer
I had been outside working in my flower bed, the day it happened. The end of the world as we knew it back then. I had been planting some flower bulbs when suddenly, the blue sky above turned dark, with huge black clouds looming overhead, swirling around and then parting, revealing an almost blinding bright light, so blinding I had to cover my eyes. Then I heard the voice, it’s ...

  • The Lone Gunman

The town seemed to soften some at twilight. Not that Deadman’s Gulch was ever ’soft,’ but the dusk dimmed the harsher edges. He’d heard enough of the tall tales and bald faced lies the saddle bums tend...
