Murder is not on the programme for a concert of East European music at the country house estate of its glamorous American escort agency owner. When the wife of an Oxford college principal disappears and is found dead the next day police investigate connections between the victim’s art gallery, a studio in Amsterdam where College paintings are sent for cleaning and originals are auctioned off. Julian Radclive is invited by the International Fraud Intelligence Agency to help recover one painting from an auction in Hong Kong and to trace a more valuable Monet which has gone missing. Undeterred by an attempt on his life and another killing in Oxfordshire Julian and his wife Gaby persevere and finally track down the murderer and the painting closer to home. Jonathan Reuvid is an editor and author of business and academic books with more than 100 titles to his name. Music before Murder is his second novel following Rites of Spring first published in 2021.
