The novel 'Murder in Academe' is a mystery about a faculty member at Indiana University, Bloomington. The victim, assistant professor George Blake, is shot to death in his own home. Joyce Elliot, a good friend and colleague of Blake, eventually discovers the identity of the murderers. The novel is also concerned with Elliot’s research on global warming and on her love affairs.
