Com base na atuação política de 69 mulheres inseridas na vida pública brasileira, o livro busca pela contextualização dos desafios institucionais e culturais relativos à igualdade de gênero no Brasil, aponta para princípios de despertar político em contextos individuais e coletivos, de fomento à participação política e sobre o próprio funcionamento democrático local. A produção tem como objetivo, além de gerar novos dados sobre o recorte descrito, o desenvolvimento estratégico de ferramentas motivadoras para a projeção da vida política de mulheres em sua diversidade representativa, como instrumento de enfrentamento à baixa taxa participativa e aos custos participativos da vida pública, com base na teorização da Consciência Política. Em sua parte final, é exposto o Manual Participativo, como ferramenta socioeducativa gamificada. Se trata do Jogo Social “Enfrentando a Desigualdade de Gênero”, que orienta a cocriação inovativa de soluções para o fomento da participação política de mulheres.
