Relatos biográficos de experiencias de violencias, desigualdades y negación de derechos contribuye a la reflexión, al diálogo y a la acción en torno a la ciudadanía de las mujeres. La ciudadanía es analizada de una manera compleja y situada, buscando un abordaje que logre comprender la experiencia subjetiva y corporizada de la vivencia de una ciudadanía femenina tratada como “de segunda clase”.Desde las biografías de algunas mujeres, la obra aborda la vivencia en “carne propia” de las desigualdades, inequidades, falta de acceso a servicios públicos y a la administración de justicia; en otras palabras, la imposibilidad de ejercer plenamente la ciudadanía, de tener derechos y no poder exigirlos, mucho menos gozarlos. Desde una perspectiva de género y desde un enfoque interseccional, se presenta la experiencia de ser mujer y no ciudadana ante el Estado mexicano.Integrar la ciudadanía como nodo estructurador de la discusión del género es relevante y es el gran acierto del libro. Otro elemento destacable es que el texto se plantea desde los testimonios y narrativas de las personas. Desde la recuperación de la ciudadanía, la obra aporta al reconocimiento de los derechos de las mujeres como un reflejo irreversible y concreto del progreso en la vida social.Patricia Román Reyes 10
