India is blessed with the world’s largest workforce. More than half of its 1.4 billion people are under 30. Why then are we one of the world’s poorest countries, ranking 136th in terms of nominal GDP. One crucial cause is Caste. Over 80% Indians are 'Backward' castes: approximately 16% Scheduled Castes (SCs), 7.5% Scheduled Tribes (STs), and estimated 58% 'Other Backward Castes' (OBCs). Nevertheless, questions can’t be postponed: what made India’s majority 'backward'? How can we move them forward? The answer: The Church brought to India the Bible’s revolutionary idea that every human being is precious, created in God’s image. Therefore, the Indian Church must become the channel of abundant life for the oppressed. The book answers, WHY & HOW?
