Many of these recent poems reflect concerns of aging. In my case this has led me to consider 'what happens next'. Such uncertainties of identity and reality afflicted Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936), as evidenced by the many plays he wrote exploring those themes. I trace these concerns of Pirandello back to his early poetry. The second part of this volume translates and adapts a number of these poems.
