This is the second group of stories, inspired by memories of growing up in quieter times. Fragrant groves of orange trees decorated the countrysides of rural Southern California. When Lucy and friends weren’t in school, they enjoyed sunny days by playing outdoors and exploring their world. Lucy loved to ride her bike, play games, and even read books to the chickens out back. In these stories, she imagines new adventures, shares her art, and makes some new friends. And on any day of the year, the cozy little house that Grandpa built made everything feel just right.
