Moon Goddesses were worshipped all over the ancient world. They began in the Near East in 3,000 -2,000 B.C.E. and were known as the 'Queen of Heaven'. Ancient Egyptians, Babylonians and Israelites all worshipped Moon Goddesses. Christian and Judaic holy days such as Easter and Passover were absorbed from the Moon Mother’s rituals and ceremonies.
