’A lo largo de la historia, la idea de lo monstruoso se relaciona con lo ajeno, lo extraño. Desde los monstruos pintados en las cuevas prehistóricas, los imaginados por los navegantes medievales en los mares inexplorados, hasta la representación actual de los extraterrestres: los monstruos le ponen cuerpo a lo desconocido. Y es de esta forma también que los libros pueden volverse monstruos: ejemplos transformadores, inquietantes, que nos invitan a repensar la normalidad.’ Estas palabras nos introducen a la presente antología de textos en torno al cuerpo, volumen que hilvana una red de escrituras en la cual diez autoras jóvenes mexicanas de diversos orígenes, lenguas y perspectivas construyen un territorio de libertad para la experimentación literaria. Las escritoras Brenda Lozano y Gabriela Jáuregui coordinan la creación de esta monstrua desde un laboratorio de conversaciones, complicidades e intercambios para generar un espacio en el que lxs jóvenes de la comunidad universitaria y todxs lxs lectorxs a los que llegue esta propuesta conocerán nuevas narrativas y experiencias de lectura, nuevas miradas, estructuras y lenguajes.
