47 years ago, the planet, Altair IV was vaporized by a thermo-nuclear reaction...and a dead zone of 671 million miles was permanently declared. Yet, as of May 4, 2343, radio telescopes at Maui sent a planet-wide message: ALTAIR IV JUST REAPPEARED. An unprecedented three Olympus-class battle cruisers were dispatched for the 16.7 light year trip, in stealth-mode for the entire voyage. The three battle cruisers have the combined capacity of destroying an entire solar system in a day, and yet, were grossly under-gunned for the mission. Two races have coexisted on Altair IV for over a million years, both originating beneath Altair’s oceans. The Krell, crablike creatures evolved to highest levels of technology. The Obons, remained in the oceans, perfecting their minds. Neither race has any interest in humanity, though all three races share a common but unknown enemy, the monsters of the Id.
