Neue Trends zur Erzeugung von monoklonalen Antikörpern der zweiten Generation werden mit den Ergebnissen von Entwicklungen zur Herstellung von bispezifischen Antikörpern dargestellt. Abschließend werden die gegenwärtigen Empfehlungen zur Gewährleistung der Sicherheit und Unbedenklichkeit von therapeutischen Präparaten aus monoklonalen Antikörpern diskutiert. Ziel des Buches ist es, die Komplexität der modernen Immuntechnik und ihre Auswirkungen auf die medizinische Forschung und Betreuung an ausgewählten Beispielen darzustellen.
