Młodzi ludzie zamieszkujący ubogie społeczności nadal są głównymi ofiarami procesu wykluczenia i eliminacji grup społeczno-ekonomicznych i kulturowych uważanych za „marginalne', „zbędne' i „niebezpieczne', często piętnowanych przez społeczeństwo. W wyobraźni społecznej utrzymuje się przekonanie, że ubogi młody człowiek jest skazany na przestępczość i nie ma żadnej wartości w konkurencyjnym gospodarczo społeczeństwie. Interakcja twarzą w twarz, z perspektywy interakcjonistycznej, wykazała, że udział młodzieży w projektach społecznych i jej obecność w przestrzeniach politycznych przyczynia się do budowania jej własnej tożsamości. Badani młodzi ludzie są uważani za młodych liderów przez ruch RCS. Młodzież pracuje dla dobra ogółu i dostrzega inne możliwości dla siebie i dla innych. Dzięki integracji społecznej i politycznej zyskują nowe perspektywy zawodowe w dziedzinie społecznej, poszerzają swoją wiedzę i poziom informacji. Udział młodzieży w projektach społecznych może sprzyjać mobilności społecznej, a także przyczyniać się do umocnienia ich tożsamości jako podmiotów społecznych i politycznych.
